WET NUNS RELEASE NEW ‘BROKEN TEETH’ EP and UK TOUR

WetNuns_PressShot2012

It’s fair to say that 2012 was a massive year for the hell-raising duo Wet Nuns.

Having taken home the gong for Video Of The Year at last week’s Artrocker Awards, Wet Nuns can look back on acclaimed performances at the Reading & Leeds Festivals, Bestival, Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape, and two riotous headline UK tours. While they’ve been hotly-tipped by just about everyone, from BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens to the Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders, the NME, The Independent, The Guardian and Clash.

Now those purveyors of death-blues are charging into 2013 with the release of a brand new EPBroken Teeth’, a UK headline tour, appearances at SXSW festival and New York Sound City in USA, and the launch of their very own festival in March, the irreverently titled ‘Detestival’.

Wet Nuns have also just released a stunning new video for their EP title track ‘Broken Teeth’.  Filmed and produced by Mark Bull at Zerobelow (previous video credits include The Stone Roses, Pulp, The Arctic Monkeys), with animation by Nick Deakin from Einstein, the video brilliantly captures Wet Nuns in their element.

The forthcoming ‘Broken TeethEP was recorded with Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, The Fall, MIA, The Kills) at McCall Studios earlier this year and is set for a February release, just as the band hit the road for a full UK tour starting in Newcastle on February 21st 2013.

The ‘Broken TeethEP is available on limited edition 12” vinyl from www.wetnuns.com now, and from all good digital stores from February 18th 2013.

Full dates for the ‘Broken Teeth’ tour are on-sale now from http://www.artistticket.com. More information about Wet Nuns festival ‘Detestival’ can also be found on www.wetnuns.com/blog
