Acres of Lions – Reaction – Review

Judging by the world’s more than public stereotype of Canadian’s, and Acres of Lions being a well-known – and certainly successful – Canadian band, it’s safe to say we’re all expecting quite a happy song. And Acres of Lions deliver, with ‘Reaction’ being almost unnaturally happy, filling a song about an empty lover with finger clicking, and 90’s pop ‘bah-bah’s.

With their British tour (of Bristol and London) immanent, the four-piece are offering an ‘entrance point’ to their album Collections, and the surprisingly catchy single proposing only serious potential. The dually horned (by labels Fierce Panda and Alcopop!) self proclaimed pop-rockers have put together a sincerely captivating first single and their future on the British Isles is only promising.
