STEEL TREES ‘Deathbed HeadSmash’ Review

‘Deathbed HeadSmash’ is the first song to be released from the upcoming album from Steel Trees.

The three-piece play a dirty mix of punky grunge with their big riffs and hooks complimenting the equally explosive vocals. The track is a short and punchy taster for the upcoming album, and it certainly wets the appetite. ‘Deathbed…’ has a simple twangy riff to hook you in and get you interested on the first listen. After the initial roar of the vocals dies down, a tender melancholic voice takes over for a while which may just resemble Daniel Johns to some ears. That’s only temporary though, and the tracks soon mushrooms into an explosion of throat ripping punk chaos, a meandering guitar solo and pile of drums.

‘Deathbed HeadSmash’ is a powerful statement of intent from Steel Trees. We can’t wait for the album!

Steel Trees will release their  debut  album ‘Attack Of The Stoner Zombie Killer Kids’ this September and are on tour during August.
