Review: Electric Sister Music Reviews by Editor - May 9, 20120 Californian heavy rock five-some Electric Sister have just released I Want It All as the second single from their debut album The Lost Art of Rock and Roll. The 9-track offering has been a huge success amongst critics and fans since it was released last year, and their second single was a brilliant release choice by the men behind the music. I Want It All demonstrates everything that makes this band what they are: raw, talented, independent and uncompromising when it comes to heavy guitar riffs, hypnotising drum beats and blunt, aggressive lyrics. The video looks, and sounds, like it has time-travelled right from the heyday of heavy metal; back in the 70s when Alice Cooper and Rush were making a name for themselves. Shot entirely by the band themselves, it screams classic metal as lead singer Thadeus screams: “we are what we are!” And who can argue with that? Who they are is exactly Thadeus (lead vocals), Jason (guitar/vocals), Nicholas (guitar/vocal), Eddie (drums) and newest member Scott (bass). In addition to hitting the road to spread word of The Lost Art of Rock and Roll, these guys will appear with rock legends on two tribute albums early this year. To honour Van Halen, they’ve recorded Drop Dead Legs and have tackled Killers for Iron Maiden, but they’re not just a cover bad and have managed to find a sound few hard-rock-clones have managed. Fans of hard rock, or even those with a passing interest, could do no wrong to listen to this primal, energetic and rhythmic good time offering from Electric Sister. They manage to sound retro enough while still keeping an up-to-date sound which makes this record something you’ll want to play at full volume again and again and again. If you like Electric Sister you may also like Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin and UFO. ;
