This was a magical performance that had the whole family mesmerised, the bright colours and ornate set designs were complemented by the addition of animatronics with a 10ft Blue Genie, a Cobra the length of a swimming pool and a flying carpet that had the whole audience gasping as if flew overhead.

There were the usual adult jokes, and lots of interaction with the crowd, there was lots of laughter and little surprises including sweets being shot in to the crowd, water guns being used and streamers being projected in to the audience, all of which put smiles on the faces of both children and adults.

The plot line was very easy to follow, and there is a great recap of the first half of the show as soon as you return from your comfort break after about an hour into the performance.

The costume changes were seamless keeping the show flowing, The baddies were ‘hissed’ and ‘booed’ and the goodies made you smile, the dame (Christopher Biggins) must have changed costumes over 20 times, at one stage there was a little magic on the stage and the actors cloth’s started to disappear, it was done with a lot of fun, which kept you thinking how far would it go, but in true panto style it was a lot of fun and magical and hilarious for the kids.

It was great to watch actors on stage, they were professional and entertaining, they were able to keep in character as well as interact with the audience and you could see how hard it is to stay professional, when they are laughing from something that has happened on stage or with the audience participation.
