Alanis Morissette-Forgive Me Love (remix) review Music Reviews by Editor - November 3, 20140 Holding all of the elements for a classically brilliant remix, Lucian has nailed this remix of Alanis Morissette’s Forgive Me Love. This house masterpiece fades in with an instant bass, not heavy enough to leave nothing to the drop but enough to get us dancing. The layers of various beats start to fall into place and soon we’re greeted with what I can only describe as satisfying carnage. There is no way you’ll be listening to this song and not feel in the mood to party hard. This track isn’t like any of your typical modern house music; the remix of Forgive Me Love brings that 90’s feel with very small hint of Drum & Bass. As the bass gets heavier, I guarantee you’ll feel more inclined to dance. The repetition of “forgive me love” taken from the original track just adds more to the tone and the general club-feel. Lucian is renowned for brilliantly compiled remixes and soon he’ll be releasing his first original collaboration featuring Tamara Usatova! Forgive Me Love is originally a very simply compiled track; the only thing powering it is Alanis Morissette’s impressively strong and beautiful voice; the remix is a complete turnaround. It’s very hard for such a simple but graceful song to be transformed into a remix as gratifying as this one. There is absolutely no reason why house fans shouldn’t be listening to this; furthermore, Lucian deserves a commending and well deserved fanbase. S.Studd
