It’s not surprising that this track is a joy to listen to when you discover the musicians involved in ‘Scream of Angels’. Coming from the Seattle metal scene is a group with years of heavy metal experience behind them; driven by Jeffrey McCormack (previously of Nightshade, Fifth Angel and Heir Apparent). Throwing the listener into a frenzy of power metal, ‘Into the Warzone’ is atmospheric, moody and everything you could possibly want from a classic metal song. Sharp, abrasive drums contrast with the graspy vocals and soaring guitar. Frequent tempo changes keep you on your toes before melting guitar break downs. All this is perfectly finished off with a guitar solo, before leaping back into a chorus which will have you captured from the first listening. Their album release is scheduled at the end of year; ‘Scream of Angels’ are definitely a band worth looking out for!
