ROB’s BLOG: Eureka Machines launch Pledge Campaign Music Reviews by Rob W - October 27, 20120 Following on from a soon-to-be-legendary performance at the Homefields festival, Eureka Machines have turned to Pledge Music for album #3. Despite the Leeds power pop/punk foursome delivering two stonking albums over the last few years, they haven’t exactly been propelled into super-stardom. So, they’ve turned to those who know best to make sure that the band don’t disappear for good: the good people with good taste. Eureka Machines are completely independent, with no help from the ‘industry’ and reliant on the odd plug from their peers (and the odd pillock with a blog and nothing better to do on a Saturday morning). So Pledge is the ideal way to show some love and make sure the album gets made and the band continue to visit a town near you. The band have promised that the album will be “more of the same” with “big guitars, big drums and nice tunes” which sounds like a good plan to me. As usual with Pledge campaigns, it’s not just an album you get. There’s signed CD’s. T-shirts, Lyric sheets and if you’re really wanting to splash out…they’ll write a song for you. Ace! On top of that, 10% of proceeds will go towards care for Cardiacs legend: Tim Smith. So even if you don’t like Eureka Machines, it’s still worth pledging.
