Pacific went on their first tour, with 25 dates all around the North-West, establishing themselves as a hardworking, outstanding, exceptional live act. Pacific were first noticed when they entered ‘Live and Unsigned’, the UK’s biggest national original music competition for bands, the band reached the Semi Finals of the competition. Their luck didn’t run out then though, the highlight of their year was when they had a huge amount of press whilst performing on the main stage of the Trafford Centre, attracting thousdands of listeners and being projected onto the big screens. This year they are hoping to get an even bigger name for themselves, they have been heavily gigging for the last 7 months and getting a bigger fan-base and they have released an new single, ‘Dream Of Mine’ it’s really good and so catchy, it’s a good follow on from the 2011 single. The single was released on Monday the 25th June, and has already had brilliant feedback, from none other than BBC’s Radio 1/Radio2’s Mark Radcliffe, he said that the track was “Outstanding”, they won an original music competition judged by Radcliffe. Alex Howick of Pegasus Bridge said- “Massive song! If the other songs on Pacific’s new EP coming out in the summer are half as good as Dream Of Mine, it’ll be one amazing listen!”. They’ve already had a tour this year and are looking forward to their upcoming events in July to do with festivals. The band’s second EP entitled ‘Giants’ will be released summer 2012. You will like these if you like The Killers, Coldplay and Kings Of Leon, they have the sound of all three rolled up into one, and have their own unique sound to them too. Lucy Hutchon
