London’s Slam Cartel boast three guitars and the majority of the band contribute to the vocals to a certain extent. A band that is big on melody then? You got it!
On first listen Black Stone Cherry and Lynyrd Skynyrd came to mind along with the obvious similar bands who play the ‘Southern’ brand of rock. It’s a convincing effort too, considering these guys are from Chelsea.
‘Wishing Eye’ is a big song, with a grand old chorus ideal for belting out over a dusty summer festival field. If you like your classic rock and especially with more than a large measure of bourbon, then Slam Cartel will suit you down to the ground. Definitely a summer anthem in the making.
