A decade of defiant DIY: samantics celebrates 10 years of lyrical mayhem

Samantics is celebrating a decade of defiant, DIY brilliance with his upcoming tour, A Decade of Antics.

This milestone marks ten years since he transformed from a shy poet into a livewire one-man band, captivating audiences with his unique blend of heartfelt lyrics and energetic performances.

Starting with just a loop pedal, a ukulele, and a head full of words, Samantics began his journey performing at every open mic he could find. Over the years, he has evolved into a dynamic performer, known for his electrifying live shows that blend elements of hip-hop, poetry, and a variety of instruments. His music, described as “not quite hip-hop, but not quite not,” has resonated with fans across the UK, leading to five self-produced studio albums, all funded through crowdfunding and fan support.

To commemorate this decade-long journey, Samantics is releasing a special album featuring ten reimagined tracks from his earlier works, completely rebuilt and re-recorded to reflect his growth as an artist. This collection aims to present a more authentic version of his sound, honed over years of performing and connecting with audiences.

The A Decade of Antics tour promises to be a celebration of this journey, showcasing the evolution of Samantics’ music and performance. Known for his energetic and honest stage presence, his shows are an experience not to be missed. Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, 6th June at 10am.
