“This totally rocks” NME
“Like a bastardised Black Keys… Their music goes down like a combo meal of gristle and mean noise; superb” The 405
“The moment we’ve all been waiting for” Artrocker
“They make music that makes us want to get in bar fights in the vain hope that it might impress hot girls with tattoos” Thrash Hits
“Hedonistic riffology” The Fly
Fresh off the back of being hailed as one of NME’s top 20 “Bands To Watch for 2012”, Wet Nuns have announced a new single and UK tour this September.
Following their two explosive singles ‘Heaven’s Below’ and ‘Throttle’, the band will release a brand new single ‘Why You So Cold’ on September 10th2012, available on both limited edition 7” vinyl and as a digital download.
After performances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in August, Wet Nuns will then hit the road from September 6thfor a full UK tour. If you haven’t witnessed a Wet Nuns show yet, then you’ve missed something damn awe-inspiring. The two-piece from South Yorkshire have been blowing venues around the UK apart all year with their hell-bent explosion of songs about “women, death and beer”.
Acclaimed performances at The Great Escape Festival, Liverpool Sound City, London’s Borderline for The Fly Magazine, and their own headline tour earlier in the year have led to feverish crowds baying for more, along with a personal invite from Rob Da Bank to play at this year’s Bestival, and BBC Introducing booking the band for this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Wet Nuns new single ‘Why You So Cold’ is released on September 10thon limited edition 7” vinyl and as a digital download.
