Final bands added to Damnation Festival line up

Alt rockers HAWK EYES, grind machine THE ATROCITY EXHIBIT and metal melting pot RAVEN’s CREED complete the stunning and diverse line up for the eight chapter of Damnation Festival.

The English trio of bands will open the Jagermeister, Terrorizer and Eyesore stages, respectively, at Leeds University Union in just over five weeks’ time where they’ll complete heavyweight bill which includes Electric Wizard, Pig Destroyer, My Dying Bride, Belphegor and Amenra.

And Northampton’s The Atrocity Exhibit are keen to set the tone for the day in typically devastating fashion.

They said: “As regular attendees over the years it’s incredible to be asked to play Damnation 2012.

“The line-up is already looking great and it’s amazing to be on a bill with various bands who were big influences on us starting out.

“Come drink cider with us and watch Pig Destroyer, activate the blast pit!”

Raven’s Creed added: “Our collective bosom swells with barbaric rectitude, we look foward to discharging thirty minutes of fetid death-thrash right in the face of the Northern quarter, no one at the venue may look Al in the eye!”

The complete line-up for Damnation Festival 2012 is: Electric Wizard, My Dying Bride, Pig Destroyer, Belphegor, Amenra, Primordial, Extreme Noise Terror, Textures, Devil Sold His Soul, Aura Noir, Gama Bomb, 40 Watt Sun, Maybeshewill, Bossk, Vreid, Hawk Eyes, Winterfylleth, Wodensthrone, Witchsorrow, Hang The Bastard, Blacklisters, Raven’s Creed and The Atrocity Exhibit.

Tickets priced £32 are available from and via the official Damnation Festival site and Facebook through Ticketscript: and at Crash and Jumbo store in Leeds.
