BOY DEL MUNDO LAUNCH NEW ALBUM

Three piece alt rock band Boy Del Mundo release their much anticipated first album Luma Croma on 13th August on Boy Del Mundo’s own independent label.

A taster of the album can also be heard on BBC Radio Lancashire’s Introducing show with Shaun McGinty this Thursday, 9th August, where the Boy Del Mundo will be playing tracks from the album in the live lounge. The band will also be showcasing the album at a live gig this Friday (10th August) in their home city at The Mad Ferret, Fylde Road, Preston.

Luma Croma has been 18 months in the making and includes 10 tracks. The album has been written, performed and produced solely by the band themselves, who are based in Preston, Lancashire.

Alex, band member, said, “This has been a labour of love because we wanted to create something that sounds amazing both artistically and technically and when you’re doing it DIY this can be quite challenging. The hard work has paid off though and we have an album that is satisfying for us because it’s a sound we can call our own, with songs that hopefully manage to send tingles in all the right places.”

Boy Del Mundo is a three piece, guitar-based alternative rock band who take their inspiration from many corners of the musical map including Flaming Lips, Mogwai, Nick Cave, Elbow and Sparklehorse. All three band members Mik, Alex and Nick are multi-instrumentalists and each play several instruments on different tracks throughout the album.

Luma Croma is released physically and on download on Monday 13th August and is available on all major download sites such as Amazon, ITunes and HMV. Find out more and to listen to remixes of the singles at www.facebook.com/boydelmundo or www.boydelmundo.co.uk
